Payment policy

Secure and Cashless Transactions

If you choose In App payments then the entire experience is cash-free. Drivers get their money right through the app. Drivers can rest assured knowing they’ll get their money without the need to ask for money in the car.


Payment processing services on Wheeli are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to use Wheeli, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Wheeli enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Wheeli accurate and complete information about you, and you authorize Wheeli to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

How do I get the ride money when I offer a ride?

After your ride log in and rate your passengers: that's it!

When do I get paid?

Booking transactions will be deposited directly into your bank account. Allow up to 7 business days for processing.

Payment Processing

Wheelster passengers‘ credit card are charged 48 hours prior to the stated time of departure. Visit the Refunds and Cancellations section to find out more.

Refunds & Cancelations

Wheeli payment processing costs are non-refundable.
Processing costs are the charges incurred by Wheeli when transferring money between a passenger and a driver. The processing costs are calculated as follows:

  • credit card: 2.9% + $0.30
  • bank account: 1% + $0.30 ($5 cap)

A reservation is not officially canceled until Wheeli sends a cancellation confirmation email.
If a cancellation email is not received, contact Wheeli at info@wheeli.us.
Credit card charges usually take up to 5-7 business days to be removed depending on your bank or credit card company.

Cancelling a ride

To cancel an upcoming ride:

  1. Click on the ride you wish to cancel
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  3. Click "Cancel Ride"

Passengers will be notified via email of your cancellation.

Passengers will receive a refund if a driver cancels a ride. If you are having issues with canceling the ride, please contact us at info@wheeli.us.

Cancelling a Request/Confirmed Seat

Passengers may cancel a requested or confirmed seat for up to 24 hours prior to the stated time of departure without incurring any penalties.




To cancel your seat/request on an upcoming ride:

  1. Visit the “Ride Details” of the ride for which you requested a seat
  2. Click "Cancel Request" or "Cancel Seat", depending on wether your request was already accepted or not
